Roofline Maintenance
Fascia and Soffit Repair
We fix the wooden or plastic boards that run just under the edge of your roof. By fixing rotten or broken boards, we stop birds, bugs, and rainwater from getting directly into your loft.
About This Service
Protecting the Edge of Your Roof
The "fascia" is the long board that your gutters are attached to, and the "soffit" is the board tucked underneath that you see when you look up from the street. Together, they block off the empty space inside your roof.
Because gutters often overflow or leak, these wooden boards can quickly become soaked and rotten. When they rot, the gutters start to fall off, and wide gaps appear. We come in to replace these broken sections quickly, leaving the edge of your roof safe and looking neat again.
Why It Matters
Stopping Pests and Water
If the wood at the edge of your roof is soft and crumbling, it does not do its job anymore. A bad fascia board is like leaving a door open for the weather and wildlife.
Core Approach
Fixing the Problem properly
We do not just nail a piece of plastic over rotten wood. Putting new plastic over wet, soft wood just traps the moisture inside, which spreads the rot to the actual sticks holding your roof up.
Instead, we carefully take off the gutters, cut away every bit of rotten wood we can find, and put strong, fresh boards in their place. Then we put the gutters securely back up. This means the problem goes away completely, and does not come back to bother you next year.
